Who runs this site

What is collected, and why

When you buy a ticket

Payment is handled by Razorpay. They collect the card, UPI or banking details needed to take the payment. Those details are never seen or stored by this site.

To send you the joining link and the Virality Scorecard, the following is stored: your name, your email address, and your order details.

When you simply visit

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they arrived from. It uses the Meta Pixel to measure whether advertising works and to show relevant ads to people who have visited.

Both of these set cookies in your browser and collect data about your visit, including your approximate location, device and browser, the pages you view, and the actions you take on them. This data is shared with Google and Meta respectively, who process it on their own terms and may combine it with data they already hold about you.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may also be used. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data.

How your information is used

Your email is used to send you the joining link, the workshop materials, and any change to the schedule. It may also be used to tell you about future workshops. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by writing to hello@thealgorhythm.in. Opting out of marketing does not affect emails about a workshop you have already paid for.

Analytics and advertising data is used to understand which pages and which ads bring people to the workshop, and to improve both.

Who your information is shared with

Only with the services needed to run the workshop and measure it: Razorpay for payment, Zoom for the live session, the email service used to send the joining link, and Google and Meta for analytics and advertising as described above. Your information is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else.

How long it is kept

Order and payment records are kept for eight years, as required for tax and accounting purposes in India. Email addresses used for marketing are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the default retention period set by Google and Meta.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be erased, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to hello@thealgorhythm.in and your request will be actioned within 30 days.

You can also refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Doing so does not affect your ability to attend a workshop you have paid for.

Grievance Officer

Noor Nanak Singh, reachable at hello@thealgorhythm.in. If you are not satisfied with how a request has been handled, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

If the tools used on this site change, this page will be updated before that change goes live. The date at the top always shows when it was last revised.
